Job Purpose
As a Senior L & D Manager, you will play a critical role in enhancing the learning and development initiatives across our global Learning and Operations teams. Your primary responsibilities will involve increasing interactions between these teams to improve communication, optimize performance for CARE Operations. You will also be responsible for driving the adoption of standard global CARE Learning practices, consulting with the CARE Leadership Team (CLT) to set strategic goals for CARE Learning, evaluating new training methodologies and technologies for the 4WoW model, and monitoring performance data and assessments to identify and address gaps.

Roles and Responsibilities
Increase interactions: Foster collaboration and effective communication between the global Learning and Operations teams to optimize performance for CCO's and CDO's.
Drive adoption of standard global CARE Learning practices: Promote and ensure the implementation of standardized practices across the organization, including reporting, capacity planning, and support requests.
Consult with the CARE Leadership Team (CLT): Collaborate with the CLT to create and achieve strategic goals for CARE Learning in FY23. Provide expert guidance and recommendations based on industry best practices and organizational objectives.
Evaluate new training methodologies and technologies: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in training and development. Assess and recommend new methodologies and technologies that can enhance the 4WoW (World of Work) model and improve learning outcomes.
Monitor performance trends: Continuously analyze performance data and assessments to identify trends and areas for improvement. Determine additional metrics required to identify and address performance gaps.
Oversee global training program implementation: Work closely with project managers and WFM (Workforce Management) to ensure the successful implementation and scheduling of global training programs, whether on-site or remote.
Complete CARE Learning capacity planning: Conduct thorough capacity planning for CARE Learning initiatives to maximize the utilization of internal resources. Identify opportunities to increase scope and operational efficiencies.
Leadership Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, development and performance management of managers under scope
Tasks and activities
Organize regular cross-functional meetings between the Learning and Operations teams.
Initiate joint projects or initiatives that require collaboration between the teams.
Monitor adherence to standardized practices and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Schedule regular meetings with the CLT to discuss strategic goals and priorities.
Conduct industry research and benchmarking to provide insights and recommendations.
Develop strategic plans and initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
Present findings, proposals, and recommendations to the CLT for review and approval.
Pilot test new methodologies or technologies in small-scale projects.
Gather feedback from stakeholders and participants to assess effectiveness.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
Develop implementation plans for global training programs, including timelines and resource allocation.
Coordinate with project managers and WFM to schedule training sessions and allocate trainers.
Provide support and guidance to ensure smooth execution of training programs.
Monitor progress and address any issues or challenges that arise during implementation.
Analyze historical data and projected needs to forecast resource requirements for training initiatives.
Develop capacity plans detailing resource allocation, timelines, and milestones.
Identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization and improve operational efficiencies.
Present capacity plans to stakeholders for review and approval.
Participate in the hiring process for managers under the scope of support.
Provide coaching and mentoring to managers to support their professional development.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to managers on their performance.
Identify training and development opportunities for managers to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 7-10 years of experience in training and development, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role within a training function.
Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs across various formats (e.g., instructor-led, online, blended learning).
Strong leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing and developing teams.
Demonstrated experience in hiring, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of direct reports.
Ability to provide strategic direction and align training initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, influence others, and collaborate across teams and departments.
Ability to think strategically and align training initiatives with the organization's long-term objectives.
Understanding of business operations and the ability to identify training needs that contribute to improved performance and organizational success.
Preferred skills and competencies
A master’s degree or professional certification in Training and Development is preferred.
Experience in managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
Experience with eLearning development tools and technologies.
Experience with performance management and development practices.
Experience working in a global or matrixed organization (if applicable).
Industry-specific knowledge (depending on the company's industry).
