Job Purpose

As a Video Editor, you will create and optimize video & animated video/GIF content across various digital platforms and formats, including the agent Knowledge Base (KB), the Help Centre (HC), YouTube (YT), and VideoHub (Vimeo).


The Video Editor plays a crucial role in the video content lifecycle, in particular the design & delivery of video resources across Vistaprint, 99designs, Vistacreate & Wix. You will collaborate closely with the Digital Learning Lead, Community Learning Lead & Content Writer/s to ensure consistent messaging, brand voice, and ensure a delightful agent & customer experience is demonstrated in all content. The Video Editor has a strong background in Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Graphic Design and a knack for storytelling from a learning perspective.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

Content Planning

Conceptualise and plan high-quality written and digital content that engages and inspires our target audiences, including storyboards (Created with MS Word &/or Miro) and videos. The will require storyboarding, building templates and course planning. Ensure content is compelling, accurate, on-brand and tailored to each Vista platform.


Content Creation

Lead the video/GIF post-production process, including high-quality screen recordings, data & file management, basic animation using platforms like Vyond, advanced video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, GIF editing using Photoshop, sound mixing, color grading and consideration of publishing formats & file sizes.


Content Strategy

Collaborate with the CM Team and cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, target audiences, and product offerings to deliver effective content solutions. Assist with the exploration of new & emerging AI technologies to elevate the video production process, e.g. AI Voice Generation, ChatGPT.


Content Auditing

Edit and proofread visual content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. Participate in regular content audits and updates to resources when required. Follow up with stakeholders when required & implement stakeholder feedback to video content utilising platforms like frame.io. Analyse content performance metrics to assess the impact of content efforts and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.


Project Management

Update stakeholders via the CARE INTAKE portal on content and manage video projects effectively. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, reduce team bottlenecks, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently. Assist in managing content calendars and deadlines to ensure the timely delivery of content assets.

Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, Figma, Miro, 2D/3D animation


Tasks and activities

  • Develop engaging and persuasive content for various learning materials including video scripts, videos, micro learnings, and GIFs. Adapt content design to align with design brief, Vista’s brand voice, in addition to internal and external audiences.

  • Collaborate with Capability Development & Product teams to understand the features, benefits, and unique selling points of Vista’s products and services. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends to continuously improve content effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and insights to enhance content performance.

  • Participate in kick-off meetings to understand the needs of stakeholders and project requirements.

  • Update stakeholders via the CARE INTAKE portal on content and manage projects effectively.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Digital Media, Education and/or Creative Media

  • Proven experience as a video editor, designer video producer, animator or a related role, with a portfolio of published work demonstrating exceptional writing & production skills.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise content for internal and external audiences.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, Zendesk, Careforce, 360 LMS & Jira

  • Strong understanding of branding, tone of voice, and the ability to adapt content to align with the Vista brand’s guidelines.

  • Creative mindset and the ability to think strategically and contribute innovative ideas.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
